Machine Learning



Learning is any change in a system that allows to perform better the second time on repetition of the same task (Simon, 1983)


Learning involves generalization from experience and performance should improve on repetition (Luger, 2005)

It is seen as a subset of artificial intelligence. Colloquially, the term “artificial intelligence” is often used to describe machines (or computers) that mimic “cognitive” functions that humans associate with the human mind, such as “learning” and “problem solving"

It uses algorithms or mathematical models in order to make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed to perform the task
